In simple words- a NOTAM should not be active for more than 3 months, and should not be replaced more than once. So if you still find old NOTAMS then the procedure is not being followed and should be questioned.

Unruly Passenger – Whose Responsibility?
ICAO defines an unruly passenger as: “a passenger who fails to respect the rules of conduct at an airport or on board an aircraft or to follow the instructions of the airport staff or crew members and thereby disturbs the good order and discipline at an airport or on board the aircraft”.
What is Special Drawing Rights?
The SDR is an international reserve asset. The SDR is not a currency, but its value is based on a basket of five currencies—the US dollar, the euro, the Chinese renminbi, the Japanese yen, and the British pound sterling.
Emotional Distress in Aviation
Through this post I wish to highlight not only the importance of mental health but stark difference between PTSD and Emotional Distress. Distress could be caused by anything non-normal either at work or home. Emotional distress conditions require immediate attention of flight crew, operators and regulators for the simple reason that these situations are more common and their effects are equally overwhelming though for short period of time.
Flight Delays
Universally, a flight is considered to be delayed when it is 15 minutes later than its scheduled time. A cancellation occurs when the airline does not operate the flight at all for a certain reason.
Why One should Know and Study Aviation Law?
The airline industry is widely impacted by regulations and restrictions related to international trade, tax policy, and competition. It’s also impacted by issues like war, terrorism, and the outbreak of diseases. The aviation industry also happens to be one of the most regulated industry along with finance, insurance and health care.
How are slots allotted to airlines for operation form an Airport?
With the increase in air traffic at the major airports in the country, the capacity of many airports has been constrained. Therefore to ensure most efficient use use of airport infrastructure and in order to maximise the benefits to the greatest number of airport users, the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has a policy for allocation of constrained or limited airport capacity to airlines and other aircraft operators, through a transparent and equitable mechanism so as to ensure viable airport and air transport operations.
Search for Supersonic Transport and its Challenges
In October 1947 Chuck Yeager took the rocket-powered Bell X-1 through the sound barrier. After that humans have not looked back and any new fighter aircraft is naturally assumed to be able to sustanin supersonic speeds. However to date only two supersonic transport aircraft Concorde and Tupolev-144 have seen regular service. The last passenger flight of the Tu-144 was in June 1978 and it was last flown in 1999 by NASA. Concorde’s last commercial flight was in October 2003, with a November 26, 2003 ferry flight being its last airborne operation. Following the permanent cessation of flying by Concorde, there are no remaining SSTs in commercial service.
Thunderstorms
Thunderstorms are one of the most beautiful atmospheric phenomenon. As a pilot, however, thunderstorms are one of the most hazardous conditions you can encounter. Thunderstorms can produce severe turbulence, low level wind shear, low ceilings and visibilities, hail and lightning. Each of these hazards can be difficult to cope with; if all these conditions arrive at once, it can be disastrous. Understanding basic thunderstorm formation and structure can help you make safe decisions.
What Pilots should know about GNSS signal jamming or spoofing..
Satellite Positioning Systems like GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Gallileo can be the target of various attacks from basic jamming to more sophisticated spoofing of signals or even hard kill of satellites. While Jamming makes the GNSS unusable , Spoofing is a sophisticated form of RF interference which makes the receiver believe it is at false location.
